The drama that has engulfed the Niger State house of Assembly continued, Tuesday, with the impeachment of Rt. Hon. Isa Kawu, who was elected as Speaker of the House a week ago.The speaker was impeached after a vote of no confidence was passed with 21 members in support of the motion and only 3 against.

Hon. Adamu Usman, who replaced Kawu, has since been sworn in by the Clerk of the House.

Recall that last Tuesday, Mohammed Tsowa Gammunu, was impeached after a motion was moved by Hon. Bashir Loko Goma, representing Wushishi constituency under matters of urgent public importance for lack of competence.
